Tahitian Village is a deed restricted, architecturally controlled subdivision. The Tahitian Village Property Owners Association (TVPOA) Board is comprised of six volunteers from within the community elected by the membership. Each year three Directors are elected to serve a two year term. The Board addresses the property owners' concerns and enforces the covenants and deed restrictions.
The Board works in cooperation with the Architectural Control Committee to ensure that guidelines are met and that property values are maintained. All structures (including but not limited to fences, sheds and new homes) built in Tahitian Village require a permit from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). TVPOA hosts several events each year such as Clean Sweep quarterly events, and also produces the Pine Post
Tahitian Village is a property owner's association rather than a home owners association. Simply put, this means you do not have to own a home in Tahitian Village to be a member. Membership to TVPOA is automatic, however no dues are required at this time.

At the June 18, 2019 Board meeting, the Board accepted Lowell Turners' resignation. Mr. Turner served as Place 6 Board member.

TVPOA hosts a Clean Sweep every quarter. Usually Clean Sweep is held the third Saturday of January, April, July and October for about six hours in the morning and early afternoon. Clean Sweep is held in the parking lot of the local Water District building located at 106 Conference Drive (behind Walgreen's). Although there is no charge for this service, donations are gratefully accepted.
Clean Sweep accepts items that are not normally allowed in your household trash pickup. Items that Clean Sweep cannot accept are:
* Motor Oil * Wet paint * Car parts * Batteries * Live ammunition * TV’s * Freon/Coolant
Below is a list of some of the items that Clean Sweep CAN accept:
* Mattresses * Appliances * Brush * Lawnmowers * BBQ Grills * Exercise Equipment * Tires (there is a nominal charge for tires)
* Metal * Furniture * Windows & doors
You must show proof of ownership or residence in Tahitian Village. This service is available to tenants as well as owners in the subdivision. If you have a large amount of items to dispose of, you may be asked to take the load to the main transfer station which is about five miles from Tahitian Village.
